OEM Data Delivery Hires Project Manager

Kenneth Mick LauerShelton, CT – OEM Data Delivery recently hired Kenneth “Mick” Lauer as a project manager/account manager. He will be based out of Texas and will work with heavy equipment and off-highway construction clients. Lauer brings more than 20 years of heavy equipment operation and fleet management experience to OEM Data Delivery, including roles as fleet manager/equipment professional and jobsite equipment manager for Bechtel.

Lauer credits OEM Data Delivery with helping him respond effectively to reporting challenges on fuel usage and equipment utilization. He also used OEM Data Delivery products to produce master equipment lists and prepare for monthly meetings with Bechtel’s upper management.

In his new position at OEM Data Delivery, Lauer will set up and train new OEM Data Delivery customers to familiarize them with the company’s rugged, custom and wireless data delivery systems, seeing projects through from start to finish. He will also consult with existing customers face-to-face around the country to assure they get the best possible value from the company.

 

Lauer’s earlier employer, Bechtel, is the world’s largest construction firm. Lauer served as an equipment manager with Bechtel Equipment Operations at the ExxonMobil Baytown NAG-OR jobsite (a $1.5 billion project), where he managed 1,200 assets for 2,300 workers. He was also a jobsite equipment manager for Bechtel during the construction of the Ivanpah Solar Project, the world’s largest solar plant. As part of the $2.9 billion project, Lauer held onsite data collection trainings for equipment managers.

 

Lauer is an OECP certified crane operator (Lattice Boom, Hyd Boom, Truck Crane, Tower Crane) and an AEMP certified equipment manager. In 2012, his team at Bechtel Equipment Operations was recognized as the AEMP Fleet of the Year. They were also awarded a 2011 construction team of the year from Bechtel.

 

In addition to his experience with Bechtel, Lauer has worked for several other crane operating companies in Nevada, Tennessee and Florida. He has trained hundreds of crane operators and has maintained, serviced and inspected thousands of cranes. Most recently he was a regional manager for Maxim Crane, serving as a heavy haul specialist and service manager across the Southeast.

  

OEM Data Delivery was recently recognized by Construction Equipment magazine as having a Top 100 Product of 2015 for its ST-576-M engine meter. Other offerings include MiniPOD and MiniPOD Fuel, which let users track equipment, hours, location, and fuel spend.
